Hey I’m Cara (she/her) a Licensed Midwife based in the Pacific Northwest serving folks and families in their journeys through conception, pregnancy, labor/birth, postpartum/matrescence, and parenting.

I started my midwifery journey in 2013 apprenticing for various Homebirth practices and birth centers while attending the National College of Midwifery. I had the opportunity to finish my clinical primary-under-supervision requirements with Ariana Cohen at Next Generation Midwifery. In 2020 I completed my requirements and got my California Midwifery Medical License.

I am now licensed in both California and Oregon to practice midwifery and serve our communities. These days I am teaching prenatal, postpartum, chest/breast, and pelvic care classes while raising my lovely and wild kiddos with my partner. I love the outdoors, learning outdoor survival skills, and building with community.

I am the administrative assistant to Next Generation Midwifery and take care of things behind the scene.
